In the spring of 2019 I was shopping at Gadabout Vintage in Toronto and came across the above choir blouse - I think it cost 30 dollars and I bought it, as well as a striped piece of fabric to use as a picnic blanket. I don’t know much about the blouse, other than it once belonged to a church wardrobe department in Philadelphia (as stated on the tag).

Since I purchased this blouse, it’s become one of my most worn clothing items and works well in any situation with almost anything I own (how I like my clothes to be). I love the bell sleeves and the yoke so much. I took a look online to see if I could find something similar to share, and although I couldn’t find anything exact, here is a pattern to order if you’d like to try making your own. I also like the looks of this vintage French choir shirt (lots of these available under an ‘antique cotton’ search) and this pleated linen church smock (more of a splurge). Or of course, visit a church sale.
