Favourite detail from Jill and Polly in the Bathroom, 1987 by Tina Barney

Time for a beauty blog update. Last February I wrote a post sharing my favourite products (including skincare, makeup, haircare, lotions, creams, tools, perfumes etc.), tips, shops, brands, resources and references. It includes how I did my wedding day make up, favourite lipsticks, my ranking of Dr. Bronner scents, perfumes by season, how I make my smoothie, when I was once a lingerie model and more. I loved writing this letter:

Beauty Bric-à-brac

I still use generally what was mentioned in my previous beauty blog save for a few new favourites:

Diptyque Vinaigre de Toilette - On a shopping trip after Christmas I accused my husband of not being fun at the mall. He promptly went into the Diptyque store and bought a bottle of their toilet vinegar. Joke’s on me because I absolutely love it. Launched in 1975, Diptyque basically describes it as an iykyk product (their website reads “for those in the know it’s essential”) - you can use it in the bath, to lightly mist linens, as a room spray, as an alternate home scent by pouring a capful in boiling water, etc. It smells pleasantly clean and medicinal.
